Sarah M. Allen Honored with 2025 Excellence Award by The Boston Estate Planning Council

Sarah M. Allen, JD, LL.M., AEP®, a shareholder and director at Rice, Heard & Bigelow, has been awarded the 2025 Excellence Award by the Boston Estate Planning Council (BEPC), highlighting her outstanding contributions to estate planning and the community. Recognized at the BEPC’s Annual Gala, Allen's dedication and expertise in the field have set her apart as a leader among her peers.

Robert G. Bannish, President of RHB, praised Allen for her professionalism and personal demeanor, which have made her a favorite among clients, colleagues, and the estate planning community. Allen's extensive experience includes serving as a professional trustee and family advisor, alongside her role as an accomplished estate planning lawyer with over two decades of experience.

Allen's involvement with the BEPC spans several years, including her tenure as president in 2019-2020 and her receipt of the BEPC President’s Award. Her leadership extends to her roles as chair of the Boston Foundation’s Professional Advisor Committee and Professional Advisor Network, further cementing her reputation in the field.

Before joining Rice, Heard & Bigelow, Allen was a partner and co-manager of the estate planning department at Pabian & Russell, LLC. Her academic credentials include a bachelor of science degree from Syracuse University and both her JD and LL.M. in taxation from Boston University School of Law.
