CannabisRadio.com, the world's largest online radio network for the legal cannabis industry, announced the launch of a new Psychedelics vertical that aims to bring light to and de-stigmatize the use of psychedelic medicines.
Psychedelic Radio will uncover the controversy, talk about the taboos, and introduce listeners to the latest research and breakthroughs with psychedelic therapies.
Oregon legalized psilocybin therapy in 2020 and more cities across the country — including Chicago, Philadelphia, Berkeley, and Nashville — are moving towards legalization as scientific research shows the effectiveness psychedelic therapies have in treating mental health. In addition, top-tier medical schools are doing a profound amount of clinical trials demonstrating the safety and efficacy of psychedelic therapies for a variety of mental health conditions.
"We are in a mental health crisis and current models just aren't working," says Brandy Babin, president and founder of Cannabis Radio. "Psychedelic Radio will uncover the controversy, talk about the taboos, and introduce listeners to the latest research and breakthroughs with psychedelic therapies."
CannabisRadio.com has been covering psychedelic topics for years so its listeners are predisposed to organic therapies and the progression past the cannabis plant. Given the audience is naturally inquisitive about psychedelics, it made sense to expand programming to include more podcasts that cover topics within this important vertical.
The Psychedelics podcast series debuts with two featured programs, Psychedelics Radio and Psychedelic Passage.
Hosts Charles Patti and Christina Thomas will talk about topics that no one else is talking about including the mystical/profound healing experiences that people have with psychedelic therapies.
"Anti-depressants are expensive, often don't work, and can have dangerous side effects," says Christina Thomas, President, and Founder of MY Self Wellness. "Moreover, cognitive therapy can take years to start making a difference. Our mission is to bring these healing modalities to the collective on a global level."
“We’re getting to the root cause of why we’re feeling depressed and why we have anxiety," says Charles Patti, Chief Education Officer and Brand Ambassador of MY Self Wellness. "Psychedelic medicines are taking people out of their dark place giving them hope. Ketamine-assisted therapy has been described as the safest and quickest path to a new you. These medicines saved my life, and they can help save yours too.”
Psychedelic Passage is a network of U.S.-based psychedelic guides & trip sitters who facilitate in-person psychedelic experiences with an emphasis on harm reduction. As professional psychedelic guides and facilitators, Nicholas Levich and Jimmy Nguyen have made it their mission to help others have intentional psychedelic experiences and positively influence the facilitation landscape. This program provides tips, best practices, and answers common questions around safely using psychedelics for meaningful change.
“This podcast allows us to leverage our expertise as facilitators to help those who want tangible answers and actionable advice. So many people are waking up to the profound healing power of psychedelics, but very few understand how actually to use these medicines effectively,” says Nicholas Levich, Co-Founder at Psychedelic Passage. “We want listeners to understand how the process of psilocybin ceremonies and intentional psychedelic use actually works in practice.”
